SAE International Return Policy

1. To ensure our customers receive prompt and proper credit for products returned to SAE in saleable condition, the returns form included in the shipment must be completed and accompany the return.
2. Print products must be returned within 30 days of invoice date.
3. CD-ROM, software, or video products must be returned within 30 days of invoice date. Product must be in original shrink-wrapped package (unopened). SAE International does not accept returns of any CD-ROM, software, or video products that have been opened.
4. SAE International does not accept returns on the following products:
   • Downloadable documents
   • Faxed documents
   • Web products
   • Magazines
   • Photocopies
   • Quantity purchases of print products
   • Referee materials
   • Engineering aids
5. University bookstores may return up to 20% of their original order of unused print products within sixty days of invoice date. Returned products must be received at SAE International in saleable condition to be eligible for credit. SAE International will notify you within 30 days of the return if the products are not saleable. If you wish to have the damaged products returned to you, an additional shipping charge will be incurred or you may provide a UPS account number.
6. Shipping fees will only be refunded if the return is due to an SAE International error.
7. No returns are accepted from book dealers, distributors, or resellers. All sales are final unless the product is damaged.
